Try something with shea butter and honey. Aveena makes a good one that is safe for the face, without alpha hydroxy.
Dove have a light moisturizer that is so good. It is called day lotion. It fly off the shelves in NY. I can't find it anywhere local.
Alpha hydroxy acids make your skin thinner and really sensitive to sun (can even cause pigmentation). So anyone should be careful with those acids during the spring/summer time.
