No, facial hair comes from testosterone and growth comes from HGH.Does getting facial hair mean that a growth spurt is coming?
Facial hair and growth spurts are not directly related, they are just two results of the same thing: puberty.
Things happen at different times and rates for each person. At your age, I had begun experiencing several facets of puberty. My voice had already deepened significantly (it was the first thing to happen), and I had my first growth spurt, for example. However, I had very little hair to speak of except for what was on my scalp. Even now, at 21 1/2, I am only just beginning to grow arm, chest, and facial hair. It just happens to be the last thing to happen for me.
I had my last growth spurt almost five years ago, and stopped growing completely three years ago, so obviously, facial hair is a terrible indicator for growth spurts.
UH-oh....my son has grown past his growth spurt before having those tell-tale facial hair. He is now 16 and almost 6 ft tall...he began his growth spurt at the age of 13 and it slowly stopped at the age of 15..(at 5ft 10 inches tall)...now, he's having those little facial hair growing, he's 5ft 11.5inches at the age of 16
Growth spurts can happen any time during adolescence. The peach fuzz may or may not be related, but it's a good sign that you're developing at a normal pace. I didn't really spurt until I was 16. Be patient, but do realize that you're not going to be much taller than your dad, so don't expect to suddenly be a walk-on center!
If you are a female, I think it means that menopause has arrived. I have seen a lot of hairy short guys in my life, and I just read an answer that said the more you shave the longer, thicker and darker your hair will grow back, so I am at a loss. I do know enough from med school to tell you that you don't stop growing for at least another four years, so don't worry about it!
well most men stop growing in their twenties so sorry but you still have some time to wait. Girls go through puberty earlier and much quicker where as the boys do it gradually and over alot of years.Hang in there.
Bonjour! probably not a growth spurt.....but puberty...unless u propbably got it already....it really just means that you r growing...not to a growth spurt though
yea, it means your on your way.dont worry, you will grow more.
